To ensure the Wrexham Road Speed Watch initiative has the greatest visibility and impact, we warmly invite residents of King’s Moat to get involved.
With the backing of both The King’s School and Cheshire Constabulary, several parents from The King’s School have already volunteered their time. However, we’re keen to encourage broader participation from the local community.
We understand how valuable your time is and want to reassure you that there’s no minimum time commitment required—every bit of help is appreciated, and all volunteers will be warmly welcomed.

Fundraising for MIND Mental Health Charity

I've been a resident of Kings Moat Garden Village for the last two years and I'm hoping our community can come together to help me raise funds for a Charity very close to my heart. I lost my closest friend to suicide 4 years ago and I will always be left wondering if all that could be done was done to prevent what happened, therefore I've chosen to raise funds for Mind.
Mind Mental Health Charity are there for people in their hour of need when other options are not. They rely solely on donations to operate, so every little bit helps. I have decided to take part in a Charity MMA bout to help raise funds, my reasoning is, I simply couldn't think of anything else more daunting, with next to no experience in any martial art this is as big a challenge I can think of, and the donations are what is pushing me on. The event will be held at Chester Racecourse on the 27th of April, tickets are also available. Thank you!
Follow up from Brad:
The event was a great success for everyone involved! The fighters collectively managed to raise just shy of £13,000 for various charities which is what it was all about.
Proceeds from the bar were also donated and various raffles and auctions attributed to the collective figure raised.
As for the fights, there were so many great, evenly matched bouts. Everybody came away safe without any serious injuries, aside from some bruised ego's.
My bout didn't go to plan unfortunately, which led to a defeat, however knowing that I put everything into the training that I could have and the money raised doing it, cushioned the blow.
From the first day of training to the event itself, has been a tremendous, once in a lifetime experience that I'd recommend to anyone that is looking to test themselves in ways beyond the norm, and raise money for a great cause while doing it.
