"We would be delighted to meet you, introduce ourselves, including the Headteacher of the school, and share some of the plans for the new school"

5th June 2025

To ensure the Wrexham Road Speed Watch initiative has the greatest visibility and impact, we warmly invite residents of King’s Moat to get involved.

With the backing of both The King’s School and Cheshire Constabulary, several parents from The King’s School have already volunteered their time. However, we’re keen to encourage broader participation from the local community.

We understand how valuable your time is and want to reassure you that there’s no minimum time commitment required—every bit of help is appreciated, and all volunteers will be warmly welcomed.

Volunteer Requirements:

Must be aged 18 or over

Training will be provided by Cheshire Constabulary

Volunteers will work in teams of three at two key locations on Wrexham Road:

  • One person will operate the speed gun
  • One will record the registration numbers of vehicles exceeding 35mph
  • One will act as additional support and oversight

Cheshire Constabulary will follow up with drivers who are found exceeding the speed limit.

Training Session Details:

Date: Monday, 9th June

Time: 6:00 PM

Location: The King’s School, Wrexham Road

Duration: Approximately 1 hour

If any residents of King’s Moat are interested in joining the Wrexham Road Speed Watch initiative and attending the training session, please contact:

Update April 2025

  • The meeting RMG were scheduled to attend on 4th April was cancelled by them, and no alternative date has been proposed at this time.
  • Some additional maintenance work has been carried out on the estate recently, including the removal of moss from the footpaths and completion of edging. While we cannot confirm, this may be linked to the previously scheduled visit by Jemma. However, several outstanding issues remain unresolved, including the replacement of dead plants and the topping up of bark in landscaped areas.
  • The Beehive sign has now been repaired, following damage caused by RMG’s gardening contractor.
  • RMG had committed to calling an Annual General Meeting (AGM), which has not yet taken place. They also stated there would be quarterly meetings with residents—these have also not occurred.
  • We have requested information on the areas due for handover from the developers so that these can be inspected prior to transfer; however, no details have been provided so far.
  • Additionally, we have asked for a breakdown of recent expenditure, and we are still awaiting the annual accounts for the period ending December 2024. Note that these accounts are legally required to be distributed to all owners by the end of June.

We are continuing to pursue a proposed amendment to the Articles of Association for Wrexham Road Management Company. The aim is to remove the current requirement that 50% of owners must agree in order to replace RMG. This change would not trigger immediate removal but would instead make future change possible and more practical as the estate continues to grow.

In the coming weeks, residents can expect to be contacted as we begin collecting proxy forms in support of this proposal.

Thank you for your continued engagement and support.

Update January 2025

Kings Moat Residents’ Association met with RMG in late 2024 to address concerns, including instances of overcharging and inadequate service. As a result, we secured a rebate for all accounts.

Additionally, we received assurances that certain costs will not increase in the near future.

KMRA remains committed to ensuring that RMG only assumes responsibility for land that is in a suitable condition for handover and that RMG provide the services they are being paid to deliver, without unjustified charges.

We are also actively working to remove restrictive clauses that prevent us from selecting an alternative management agent if RMG fails to meet expectations in the future.

Kings Moat is within the parish boundary of Dodleston Parish Council.

Thanks to Parish Council support, our communities can stay connected and informed.
