Good news for Kings Moat residents — the new sports facilities on Moat Lane are nearly complete, with only a few final touches still to be finished.

The current plan is for the facilities to open by the end of April. Once operational, Cheshire FA will manage the organisation and booking of the facilities, and they will provide details on how residents and local teams can make use of them.

We understand that there may also be an opening event, which will be a great opportunity for the community to see the facilities in action — so watch this space for further updates.

We're told that the natural grass football pitches are still maturing and will not be available for use until September, in line with the start of the new football season.
